PITCHING

Hitting

Big League Talent hitting instruction begins with an evaluation of the player's present hitting technique and ability. During the evaluation, the coach observes the skill level the player is currently at and begins to develop a plan to improve the player's hitting.

FIELDING

Big League Talent teaches both infield and outfield play during our fielding clinics and lessons. Our instruction always covers the basics for infielders approach, ready position, footwork and "alligator" position to recieve the ball. Our students are further taught the mechanics of double plays, cut-offs/relays and backing up different fielding plays during infield work.

Our outfielder are instructed on flyball/groundball approach, "crow-hops", "drop step" and throws to bases and cutoffs. Our instructors understand the importance of teaching the proper form and technique to all of our students. The element of speed of hands and footwork are encouraged so that the skills continue to advance to a higher level.

ARM STRENGTH

The Big League Talent Arm Strength Program involves throwing drills from different throwing postions to promote arm strength/health and proper throwing biomechanics.  It also includes resistance exercises that promote strength, mobility & stability of the scapula, shoulder capsule, and rotator cuff.   These drills and exercises will help build power, speed and overall arm health for the baseball player. With each session designed to be a progression of the players arm strength, the player is expected to understand the steps needed to improve their throwing velocities. Sessions vary depending on whether the players are in an "in season," "pre season," or "off season" mode.

AREAS OF FOCUS:
